Form 4

Are you doing major renovations on your home?

Get your Form 4 for plumbing and drainage work

If you engage a builder to build an extension on your property, which includes a bathroom, the builder will employ a licensed plumber to perform the plumbing and drainage work.

On completion of the work, the plumber lodges a Form 4 with the QBCC and must provide a copy of the notice to the builder. As the property owner, you may also contact the QBCC to access a copy of the Form 4.

New Notifiable work system: Upcoming changes to Selection of Categories of Work

It can be difficult to know the type of work being done when submitting your Form 4 or 4A.  To make it easier, we'll be providing a guided view on the new system to help you select the correct Category of Work when submitting Notifiable Work on myQBCC.

If you know the Category of Work, you can use the data entry view to quickly and easily make your selection.

Upcoming changes for Notifiable Work payments

We are currently developing a new digital solution to improve how you pay for Notifiable Work (Form 4/4A’s). The changes will enable us to offer you a more streamlined service and secure payment processing.

How does it work?

Payments will be easier and more secure for you by using your VISA or Mastercard. You can pay for single or multiple Notifiable Work Form 4’s within the one transaction, without using a top-up account.

New way to lodge Form 4s

Licensees will soon have a new way to submit their notifiable work (Form 4/4A) online via myQBCC.

This new solution will replace the current online function performed through the Plumbing Application System (or PAS).

The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) has developed this new service in consultation with all areas of the industry (including licensees, local governments, peak bodies, public sector entities and administrators) to ensure it will be simpler and easier to submit their forms.

Some key features for licensees and their staff include:
