Our Minister
Our Minister is the Minister for Housing and Public Works, the Honourable Mick de Brenni.
Mick de Brenni was sworn in as Minister for Housing and Public Works on 8 December 2015 and also served as the Chief Government Whip for all Queensland Parliamentary sittings in 2015.
In the January 2015 Queensland State Election, Mr de Brenni was elected as the Member for Springwood, an area where he has lived for his whole life.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Industrial Relations and Human Resources from Griffith University and enjoys surfing, cycling, and mountain biking.
Mr de Brenni has listed his passions as standing up for local service providers and volunteer-based organisations. He has made representations for local organisations including Queensland Community Alliance, Industrial Relations Society Qld, Logan East Community Neighbourhood Association and Trail Care SEQTA.
He and his wife Kristie, a school teacher, have two young children.
