Security of Payment

The Queensland Government has introduced new reforms to improve security of payment in the building and construction industry.

In October 2017, the Queensland Parliament passed new laws that are designed to help subcontractors get paid for the work they have completed.

The Act introduces a number of measures which are designed to strengthen security of payment.  More information on the Act can be found at the Department of Housing and Public Work’s website.
