Welcome to trade for apprentices

On Friday 9 June 2017, SkillsTech in conjunction with the QBCC put on a ‘Welcome to Trade’ breakfast event for new plumbing apprentices.

The event was held at SkillsTech at Acacia Ridge, and was attended by apprentices, their employers, TAFE and SkillsTech teachers and representatives of other industry organisations.

Events like these are important, as they start to instil the importance of being actively involved in the industry right from when the apprentices start their careers.

Service Trades Council Chairperson Penny Cornah and QBCC Assistant Commissioner Esther Blest presented at the event, with SkillsTech Plumbing Business Manager Danny Platt taking on the role of the MC.
