Certifying your photos

Photos must be certified by a qualified witness - a Lawyer, Justice of Peace, Commissioner of Declarations, Notary Public or QBCC staff member - and will only be valid for 10 years once received by the QBCC.

Digital licence holders

If you’ve added your QBCC licence to the Queensland Digital Licence app, good news, you don’t need to submit a separate photo.

When you add a Queensland Government-issued product (e.g. driver’s licence, marine licence, or adult proof of age card) to the app, the photo from that product is automatically imported into your QBCC digital licence.

This means:

  • no need to upload or submit a new photo
  • your existing government-verified photo is securely reused
  • your QBCC digital licence is ready to go, with your photo already in place.

Just download the Queensland Digital Licence app, add your government-issued ID, and then add your QBCC licence. It’s that simple. Learn more
