Results

During the audits they carried out almost 200 licence checks at 84 sites in Brisbane’s north and south.

Thankfully, only two workers were suspected of unlicensed building work — These individuals will now be subject to further investigation.

However, 19 sites with non-compliant signs were identified, which resulted in our officers issuing warnings and further education to the responsible licensees about their legislative requirements.

Why this matters

By taking a more proactive and collaborative approach to audit activities, we can strengthen relationships with licensees while preserving robust assurance outcomes and advancing our role as a modern regulator.
