If you were impacted by the 2025 Western Queensland Surface Trough and Associated Rainfall and flooding event or the Queensland Monsoon Trough, Cyclone Koji, Cyclone Narelle and Severe Weather event, (commencing 24 December 2025) you may be eligible for a grant.
The grant offers up to $10,000 for approved resilience strategies, such as:
- Raising washing machines, dryers, electrical switchboards, or meter boxes
- Raising data and electrical points, hot water systems, air conditioner units, or pumps
- Separating electrical circuits between levels
- Replacing floor coverings with flood-resilient materials like polished timber, sealed concrete, or water-resistant tiles
- Replacing plasterboard walls with fibre cement sheets
- Painting stud work with mould-resistant paint
- Preliminary design works by qualified professionals, up to a combined maximum of $10,000, to facilitate raising the flood affected home including:
- architectural and structural engineering documentation
- geotechnical testing
- site surveys
- town planning advice
- building certification
